    Forget about the strokesaver.
If you want to impress your Boss, just make sure he wins.

yes you can pick one up in the pro shop . its a short tight track , you only need a driver on a hand full of holes. there is plenty of water, and the rough is usually heavy, bunkers are deep, but well kept .
play for position , keep it on the fairway and you should have no problems.

Can a better price than 40 euro be got during the week?

My advice , go next door to Luttrellstown for 30 quid or ring them and ask them to match Luttrellstowns price . In the current climate no-one should be charging/paying full price .

I would recommend Castleknock over Luttrelstown at present. I have played both in the last week, and I can tell you now that Castleknock is in much better shape. Plus I had 40 points on it which helps.
The greens in Luttrelstown are a mess at the moment. Tonnes of sand.

Played yesterday at Castleknock and i have to say it was superb! Great layout. couple of short par 4s but we all need a litte extra help in our game! Did beat my boss by 1 point so i got the bragging rights this week!

Would recommend using the 3wood in most of the holes.:)

Played Luttrelstown today and the greens are still very sandy, but overall the course is in good shape for this time of year. Personally, would always pick L over Castleknock.

Normally I would agree with you! but not at present, Luttrellstown has lost its charm and with the green condition ( am sure theres a green somewhere under tht sand pit) along with the million+ divots around the course has turned me towards Castleknock. Will have to wait n see if things improve going forward.

I have to admit that I was a bit surprised by the number of unrepaired pitch marks on first green especially. Some green fee players just not giving a damn about others, I'm afraid.
