Downloads from Itunes really slow?

I download a ton of podcasts and iTunes u videos to my iPod touch. In the last week I've noticed that the time it takes to download is much much longer on average. I am not having any speed issues with other non iTunes related downloads so it's not just my connection. Has anyone else had this issue with the itunes store?
