Time for a change....

Let me put this out there to begin with-I am a FF supporter.I genuinely believe that 9 times out of 10 FF are the best party to be in government.

But I now think its time for a change..FF have become stale having been in government since 1997...While I am not as critical as their performance in government since 1997, and especially 2007, I believe it is now time to give FG and (probably) Labour a shot in government.Look at the history of almost any country-a party, or person, is rarely effective after 10 years in government-people like FDR are the exception rather than the rule.Ok, Kenny does not inspire me with confidence and it will be interesting to see if Labour will shirk Public Spending cuts. But they deserve a chance. The whole Willie O Dea affair was the straw that broke the camels back for me-the man lied in an affidavit, and still claims to be a victim.People like Lemass and Dev are probably still turning in their graves as I write this. While some tough decisions taken by the government in recent months have been admirably, I still do not believe this merit an additional 5 years of FF led government come 2012.Anyway, single party dominance over too long a period is unhealthy(although it is not as difficult as FGers make out to understand why FG have not won an election since 1982.The reason is simple-that administration was a joke!).

I am interested to hear from all who agree/disagree with me, but I am most interested to hear from fellow FFers(or should that be fellow ex-FFers:pac:...sorry lads!).
