Problems with A&K PARA SAW

I have an A&K SAW PARA version. It has two problems. The outer barrel comes out very easy with minimum pressure on the barrel release catch. Some times it comes off with out touching the barrel release catch.

The second problem is the collapsable stock. When the stock is fully extended, the stock is extremely lose.

Can anybody give me advice on how to fix these problems

    Thanks in advance

I have the same model and also had the same problems.

The solution to the barrel is firstly don’t remove it, ;) but it sounds like the first thing you did was push the barrel release and thought ‘SWEET’. (So did I, I even had the outer barrel shoot off and travel about 1m cos when I fired it again 'cos I didn’t re-seat it correctly). :o

My solution to the barrel was firstly, I vowed never to remove it again (never)and secondly, I got a small piece of 2x4 and a mallet and gave the barrel a whack!:eek:

Not to hard, just a good solid tap. :D

The stock on mine is also a little loose when the gun is sitting on the bi-pod and the stock is fully extended. A small gap of about 2/3mm opens between the receiver and the stock. :(

Is this what you’re concerned about? Or is there a slight stock wobble when it’s extended?

To try and prevent any damage or stress on the stock I tend to stand it like an rifle and never have it sitting on the bi-pod with the stock out.

But now you have me thinking, I'll have a look at mine and see can it be tightened and get back to you.

so tapping it with the wood and hammer fix the barrel permently?

yeah the stock wobble a nice bit when extended

Well it stopped my barrel from shooting across a field when I fired it and I can still pop it off if needed.

The barrel can sometimes be a bit a b#st##d to seat correctly, just make sure barrel is lined up right, place the bit of wood at the flash hider and give it a good firm slap of the mallet.

Be sure to check the problem isn't something stopping the barrel from be seated correctly before you try the mallet
