Does anyone remember these mad little brine shrimp things?
Remember how great it was seeing life spring forth from a pack of powdered stuff when you mixed it into water? Good times! Granted, they looked NOTHING like monkeys but they were fun to care for.

These were nothing more than germs, the same type that would be found in stagnent pools by the seaside, My ex got me some and after a few weeks got bored and flushed them down the toilet. :p

Shame-if you'd have stuck with it, you'd have ended up with some really interesting centipede-like creatures. They were oddly hypnotic.

    I LOVED sea monkeys.

I spent a fortune on various tanks for them and used to sit, watching them swimming around all day.

It amazed me that a powdered substance could turn in to little fish.

The inventor of Sea Monkeys is a bit of a nut bar...

Harold von Braunhut (or Harold Nathan Braunhut to give him his real name, he was actually Jewish) funneled lots of money into Aryan groups and the KKK.

So remember that... there's a good chance that your sea-monkeys are a failed experiment in trying to create a race of super atomic aryan sea nazis.

They're a modified version of brine shrimp. Only 2 people knew the exact formula and Braunhut tinkered with it pretty much up until his death.

I started a thread, didn't see this one, I loved them! Very easy to look after (until I ran out of the special food).
