Do 3V provide chargebacks?

    Hi all,
    I recently ordered a product from a site who claim they do not charge for your order until it is shipped.
    After I placed my order they emailed me to say they could not ship the item, however they have still charged me! It shows on my 3V page.
    I asked for a refund and they deny receiving the money but it is gone from my 3V card. I contacted 3V by email yesterday, attaching a screenshot of my transaction history but have not heard back.
    Is there anything else I can do?

    If you have contacted the retailer and 3V there isn't much more you can do for now except to wait.

    Cancelled Transactions
    When you buy goods or services using a credit or debit card, the retailer will reserve the funds for the transaction for a short time - they do this so that you cannot use those funds to buy other goods or services while they process your order. Once they have dispatched the goods or services, they complete the transaction by taking the money from your credit or debit card. Exactly the same happens when you use a 3V Voucher.

    If you cancel your order, most retailers will take several days to return the money to you. It will be returned to your 3V Voucher account automatically 7 to 10 days after you made the purchase (but then cancelled). While the money is still held by the retailer, you will not be able to spend it elsewhere but once it is released back to you, the available balance on your 3V Voucher will increase by that amount and is then available for you to use.
