Dragging items and creating subfolders

    I have two questions.

    1. How do I create a subfolder. I have a folder for bluetooth items i have transferred from my phone. Now I want to put some of them into a subfolder, but when I click new folder it creates a brand new folder at the top level, slongside documents etc.

    2. How do I drag something up a lon gway in finder, it doesn't automatically scroll up like windows does if i just drag it towards the top.

Whatever about the answers probably being simple, they don't appear to be very intuitive or else I have a problem.

What finder view are you using? List view? Switch to icon-view or column-view.

It does work. Are you holding it right at the edge?

Click on the icon and press return.

Or with the icon selected, click on the text (but not so quick so it isn't registered as a double-click).
