I'm wondering how safe it would be to send a bank draft through the post? I seem to remember that if they get lost they can be cancelled, but what could anyone do with one, if anything, if it got stolen for example?

They could fraudulently alter it, or it could just get lost in the post. What value is the draft? It might be worth registering it, just for peace of mind.
