    POL is polarity ie minus sign
    AB4 is 4th digit A+B segments ie the 1.
    Decimal point is usually hardwired for led display, not connected to the IC, pulldown to 0v thru a suitable resistor, try 5k.
    Lcd dp's use fig 6 in the datasheet and a DIL switch
