Hey folks can anyone help me with this. Some little gits cracked the plastic mirror cover on my 2001 Passat the other day. It then fell off on the M50! Where can I get a replacement one? Its a sky blue car but can I buy any colour and just spray paint it? A mate of mine was suggesting scrapyards? Anyone know of one thats got loads of sky blue VW B5 Passats sitting around?
What sort of money are they as a matter of interest?

You can get one from your local VW dealer. It will come primed so you will have to get it painted. The paint code can be found on the inside cover of the Service Schedule or on a sticker in the spare wheel well. It's a common enough item so I'd imagine that the main dealer may have one in stock.

Part number according to Vagcat is 3B0 857 537 B GRU

Thanks very much for that. I'm a student though and looking for the cheapest option. Any alternatives?
