Lads I was in town last night and found a Garda ID badge/card on the ground, this was in Dublin City Centre. There were no guards around, so I just brought it home with me - I didn't think of going round the corner to Harcourt St.

Would it be alright to just drop it into my local station (Blackrock) or should I drop it into Harcourt St? Does it make a difference?

    Well done O/P!!!

Can I suggest that you try contact the member concerned?? Instead of just handing it to some member.....it would be nice to hand it over in person. Pm me if you wish.

Dropped it in earlier today. I googled the name of the guard in question afterwards, there was a mention of this person's name in a couple of newspaper articles from about 9 months back but nothing recent. Those reports showed that at the time, the guard was based in a Dublin station, but it wasn't convenient for me to get there.

What comes around goes around (I hope!).

What a great thing you've done OP. If My Name Is Earl is anything to go by, you're going to win the lottery soon. Fair play to ya.
