Anyone looking to pick up Battlefield Bad company 2 limited edition for PC should take a look at this.

    http://eastore.ea.com/store/eaemea/en_IE/DisplayProductDetailsPage/productID.165578400

When checking out enter the code "VoucherCodes.com25%", it will give you 25% off your purchase. So the game only comes to €37.50, and you can start playing the single player now!(once it downloads of course)

Not sure on how much Bricks and Morter shops will be selling the limited edition for but this seems to be a fair price to me.:D

*complements to youcancallme>al for the promo code

game.co.uk also has £10 discount, and as it is still in preoder you can get limited edition for the price of standard one.

Thanks to the OP for this. I cancelled the Zavvi order and got it from the EA store last nite. Took a few hours to download (5.4GB) but when it did I was able to get stuck into the single player game.

That's the Limited edition which included 6 bonus vehicles/weapons. And also includes a 15% pre order bonus. I have mine downloaded and ready to install, bought it last night.

I've asked this elsewhere but, perhaps someone here can answer definitively.

How well will a non-Steam copy integrate with the Steam service? I'm hoping for the ability for Steam friends to be able to see that I'm playing and join the game (and vise-versa).

As far as I know, unless it uses Steamworks, it wont work with steam, unless it's bought from Steam. As far as I know, BF:BC2 doesn't use Steamworks. I think

I'm wondering how well the "add a non-Steam game" feature integrates BC2 with the service.

Will it show that I'm playing BC2 or just say "currently playing a non-steam game"? Being able to jump into a (Steam) friend's game directly would be a bonus.

OH. Sorry. You can add a non Steam game. It basically asks you to locate the .exe file for the game you want to add. So everytime you run the game, your friends should get a pop up saying that you are playing that game online. But as far as playing online I don't think that they will be able to use Steam to find you and play with you. But i'm not 100% on that though. Sorry I can't help you more than that. Maybe someone else will be able to enlighten you.

I had previously added Fallout 3 as a non-steam game; that only displayed as "user is in a non-Steam game". If a non-Steam copy of BC2 behaves in a similar manner then it's not much use to me if I want to take advantage of Steam's community features while playing this title.

Thanks for the tip, and just as a heads up, this voucher works against any purchase :D
    I just got CNC4 and BFBC2 for 74 and with 25€ off :)

It's not a steam game, so if that's what you or your friends saw on fallout I'm pretty sure that's what you'll see with this.

You may be right buuuuuuut Fallout 3 is a GFWL product. It could be argued that MS put systems in place to ensure the experience was degraded if used on competing services. That sounds more 'conspiracy theory' than I'd like but, for all I know, it could be as simple as not bothering to make sure some piece of code was standards-compliant. So, I don't know whether comparisons can be drawn between it and BC2.
