Advice on where to find a business partner with the following credentials:

Dear all,

I am seeking a business partner to start a biotech company.

Me: 15 years product development and business experience, both multinational and start-up, many years working for a market leader in US. BSc/MBA qualified. I understand what is necessary to bring a medical device from concept to commercial reality.

Ideal partner: PhD qualified, technically creative with commercial experience.

Where can I find this elusive individual? I have kept my ear to the ground for the past year or so but to no avail.

All advice appreciated.

Havent spoken to EI yet. I suppose I would prefer to have partner in place and business plan draft in hand before talking to EI.

Do they have a forum/resource to link potential tech-based business partners?

The Digital Hub in Dublin used to run a monthly networking event for people to find potential business partners, you could try them.

I have seen this program but considered it to be more applicable to experienced businesspeople who have started their own business and raised $ to fund it - even though I have corporate experience I have never started my own business.

I am slightly hesistant to start throwing my name into a lot of hats as I am still employed by a company..........but would love to give something a go this year.
