So I have an old iphone(3g). I jailbroke it so i could use it on the vodafone network. Im just wondering if now that vodafone are now selling iphones, is it possible for me to activate my iphone on the network without all of the jailbreaking.

    Thanks very much
    Rory

No, you will never be able to activate it legally on Vodafone unless the original operator of your specific phone unlocks it.

Will O2 unlock it for me?

Unfortunately no. They might change their attitude once Vodafone officially launches the iPhone, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

I reckon that they will be forced by Apple to do so - once Vodafone are officially in the picture
