    I've read some of the online reviews and they seem positive - although pointing out that's it's very much entry level. I'm mainly going to be taking pics of the kids - so for that price I reckon that's a decent deal,

    The only downer i see is it uses AA batteries.

    All the more expensive Canon pocket cameras now have a small battery like a mobile phone rechargeable and has excellent batttery life between charges.

    you can get 2 aa batterys any where, the rechargable ?.

    Recyclable AAs ftw, keep a spare pair in your coat pocket for emergency backup. Or run to the nearest newsagent/petrol station. When your lithium battery goes you're knackered unless you've brought along your charger (?) and are near a socket. And can wait an hour.

    I like that Canon. :)
