Crooked teeth...

Hi, Im 31 and my teeth have pretty much always been crooked. At age 13 or something i was supposed to get a brace. They started the process by taking some back teeth out but after that i refused to go back and continue the treatment.

Fast forward to two years ago, i went to the dentist wanting to get something done about them as i hate them. I asked her about getting them straightened with a brace and she said that as somebody had already started the treatment years ago and the gaps had closed then the chances of a brace working would be slim. I asked her about implants but she said that the root would be crooked as well so that wouldn't work.

What are my options? I really want to get them straightened out...

    Thanks

that is untrue. the spaces may have closed favorably and you don't need much space to correct the malocclusion.
if the spaces closed unfavorably, then first molar extraction may be an option or else compromised treatment.

    best talk to an orthodontist

seek a second opinion. that sounds a bit off. go to a orthodontist.
