Actually, speaking of Welsh comedians.....Rhod Gilbert makes me piss my pants any time I see him perform. Defo one of the best comedians about right now.

    ^^
From time immemorial the Welsh have worn a leek on St. David's day, in memory of a battle against the Saxons, at which it is said they wore leeks in their hats, by St. David's advice, to distinguish them from their enemies.

    Unsurprisingly, the saxons won.

    Or this?

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.

I spent 2 years in Wales (2007-2009) and I doubt even the Welsh know its St. David's Day. I don't remember anyone making a big thing about it. Its a shame they don't make a proper day of it, the Welsh are mad as a brush!

My favourite things about Wales.......Katherine Jenkins, the Woodville and chips from chippy lane after.
