Car Battery Advice

    Hey,

I bought a FIAT punto a few months before christmas. Over the cold christmas the battery completely died and I had to get a guy out to charge it.

Ever since then if the weather is cold and I don't drive the car for a couple of days the car won't start and seems as though the battery has died.

I went a got a new battery a couple of months ago and things where fine for a while but this morning again the battery was dead. It was pretty frosty over the weekend and I didnt drive the car at all.

Does this sound normal? It's really starting to annoy me by this stage.

I got a charger before after christmas but it's broken now and was considering getting another.

What would be best between these 2

Well if you only got a new battery at xmas and its died again then its possibly a bad quality battery or there might be a problem with the alternator, its not charging the battery enough when driving..

They would be my 2 guesses.. So a batterey charger is only really a temp solution..

A fully charged quality battery should last weeks, even in cold weather.

Have you checked that the radio, boot light, interior light, etc are off?
