I've been looking at vans, but the main thing about deciding which one to get is how much insurance costs.

A small one like a caddy would be big enough,

but is a large one cheaper on insurance??

the companies I call are no help.

Does anyone have any experience or idea which would be the best size to go with when it comes to cheap insurance??

Anyone know who is the cheapest for Van Insurance??

I'm looking at buying a van....huge diff between quotes on a 03 1.9tdi caddy.....370 up tp 1300 for the exact same cover.

    insuremyvan.ie & quoteme.ie were the best...

The key issue with van insurers is not the vehicle itself but more about the use it will be put to. They need to know if it is 'own goods' ie normal 9-5 deliveries or if it is used for courier work or the like. Most of all they want to avoid our 'mobile bretheren'.

If you decare that it is for private use, you may as well sell the vehicle for the best price you can get

what do you mean, what is the best to say. its best to say its used 9-5. and don't tell them that you are using it privately?
