Not great? Worse than tesco "value" vodka even? :D

Very decent price for 70cl alright though

Nooooooo! This is not a bargain. Rachamainoff is not worth it even if it was FREE!

Don't do it, in my humble vodka expert opinion!

Btw, a litre of smirnoff is €20 in Dunnes at the mo....

Have to agree with AMDublin- it really is incredible stuff. You can get Smirnoff for les than 20 in Tesco- its worth paying the few quid extra for something thats actually drinkable.

yeah it's not good vodka, but smirnoff is €20.59 in Tesco at the moment just about double . Use the rachmaninoff in cocktails or with strong mixers :) The cloudy lemon you get in Lidl takes the bite out of it

Rachmaninoff is one of the worst vodkas I have ever tasted. There is no bargain here ;)

my mother told me that a lady in the area was caught adding this stuff to the smirnoff bottle in her house at christmas. Tongues were wagging about her ever since in the area! If your a student on a budget and use a strong mixer as above it's grand IME.

    Personally I find it undrinkable.

And what was that woman thinking!!!! There is no way this stuff would pass for Smirnoff!!!!!

Smirnoff red is not great either though, its really the budweiser of vodkas, a great marketing success, most people have tried feck all other vodkas. Skyy vodka was meant to be going for €15 per 700ml in some tescos -not in mine, but wyborowa was €17 per 700ml in my tesco (ballybrack). Skyy is the cleanest vodka I have ever tasted, no bullsh!t fake tradition behind it, it was developed as a hangover free vodka, and does it very well. €15 is a steal, it used to be over 40 in o'briens a few years back.

Sometimes you can get Finlandia on special in duty free- I normally stock up then....... Absolut- really is the marketting success imho- sure, its in a pretty bottle, and the contents are very drinkable, but there are better out there.

Skyy certainly is a good vodka for the price

My two favourites would be Grey Goose or Chopain - but i can't afford either :(

Currently I enjoy Russian Standard which is generally about 21 euro for 700ml
