First off. Taiwan and €200. Sounds like you were robbed to me.

The lower the number the better the light. 3000k kit is the brightest with a yellow light, 4300 is the motor factory standard for HID, 5000k is a daylight, 6000k is a blueish, 8000k is blue, 10000 is going on purple and 12000 is basically purple.

The higher the number the less light you get basically.

8000k will look boy racerish and give you less light than you would like.

Again the €200 thing. WOW. I bought a kit for a friend of mine and it was delivered last week €37 from China and its very high quality.(IMO)

Well you've bought them now so less of that, this is a Motor's forum, not an economists forum, so less of the "You've been robbed", helping no one.

As for your question, as has been said above, 8000k will be purple'ish. My personal choice would be 6000k (I have factory Xenon's which are, as said above either 4000/4300k)

To back up what's been said above, the higher the number, the less actual light you get

    It's only my opinion, but:
    1) You'll get more light out of them
    2) They don't look as boy-racer'ish
