Is there an airsoft version of this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8oLcHkCcz_c&NR=1

Did this evolve into what will be the G&G G2000 as well as other AEGs?

no, the magpul pdr was apparently just a prototype that magpul put on the back shelf
so i doubt there will be an airsoft version for some time
the g&g f2000 is based on the FN f2000
different gun but yeah i guess they look a bit similar due to taking some ideas from the p90

looks like the child if a p90 and a tar21 if they had a baby lol

I wish, they had this in the Airsoft version. It would be brilliant for a sniper to have as a backup

    whats wrong with a p90, mp5k, mp7.
just a few of the millions of guns that can be used to take that role as snipers backup...

Accuracy. The MP5K is great, but has a small barrel. The p90 is goodm but is, in my opinion, too big to be a back up, and the mp7, again, quite short barreled

Short barrel doesnt mean it will be inaccurate at all.
A mp5 can be more accurate than a m16 as i hear they need to be suited up properaly for it to work perfectly!
and what makes you think that that perticular gun would have a longer barrel?
plus precision barrels and proper hup-up motor etc etc would make it more than capable!

Yeah, I know that after you upgrade it and everything, any gun could outshoot a stock gun, but out of thew box, an M16 would outclass an MPK5 tenfold.

And, the gun in the vid would be more accurate due to the bullpup design

i know what you mean yeah... i supose i see what you mean, but fixing up a stock gun wouldnt cost too much more you know?
sinse this gun doesnt excist yet :P

how about a m4 CQB short barrel or somthing?
that would be a proper snipers secondary weapon :P

or how about tar-21 or that submachine gun version of the CBZ-95? theyr bullpup!
but then again it depends on the theme or load out your going for:P

I am actually in the process of turning me M4 CQBR into a sniper (barrel extender, silencer, then long inner barrel) cause I am a fan of sticking useless things on rail systems, and then I plan on turning my G36 into an MP5K kind of thing, where it only hangs on a sling.

And I do aggree that there are good backups out there for snipers. I just think the gun in the vid looks different

for the m4 thats a good idea, i have a silencer on my g36c and a extended barrel that reaches into the silencer. another option would be to by a m16 conversion kit. that would be handy.

and how exactly would you turn a g36 into a mp5k?

Not a clue. What I mean is I am looking for a butt plate so I can take off the stock, and just have the G36 on a sling, without it looking like all I did was take off the stock:o

I'm realy not sure what your talking about haha!
but that butt plate your talking about does excist(link).
and the g36 is fairly long, would you change it for a g36c front?
why not use your g36 as your sniper and your m4 as your secondary slung on your back or whatever?

g36 are used as snipers in some places, for example the HongKong armed forces use g36 as sniper rifles.

just a thought as it would make abit more sense size wise with your guns!

Think about it the PDR is probably one of the most compact bullpups I've seen and also alot more streamlined than anything like an MP5k, MP7 and especially an M4 stubby, when sniping your more than likely not to have a big side arm/back up anyway certainly not while crawling and going prone
'cos the last thing you want is a big ass gun hanging off you when your a sniper/DM.

Would you rather have an MP5k with a short barrel or a compensate with something slightly longer for a better chnce of an accurate shot also id rather have the PDR which is long and narrow which would have a smaller chance of getting snagged or the MPk etc. which would have a large of getting snagged with the long mag and foregrip.

    My two pingins anywho.:pac:

Sorry, it is the G36c version.

And that end cap is exactly the thing I am looign for. Thanks:D

And the reason I am having the M4 as the sniper, and G36C as the backup, is partly to do with weight (M4 is a bit heavier), but mostly to do with habit. I have had the M4 since christmas, so I know the ins and outs of the firing, like how far it can go, how much hop up I need, how accurated it is ect.

ah right, that would make more sense! but then again sinse the m4 is so easy to control and manuver there is no need for a g36c strapped to your back! it would just be extra weight IMO

a pistol would be your next best choice IMO! My pistols ahve served me VERY well! and i would always want one with me in any game!

The problem is, a good pistol, with a few upgrades so it will actually hit a person from a distance of more then 10 feet would set me back about 150 quid, whereas that can be spent (if I had it) on my G36c to make it one hell of a primary/secondary weapon.

And the main reason I want a G3d is that I was at MAZ this weekend (very much recommend it) and I want something for the CQB kind of environment, so my M4, when its extended, wont be brilliant coming into room. They would see the barrel long befor they saw me :).

Not the case if I had the G36c on a strap.

But, with that being said, I saw a lad there with a G18 (I think), a fully automatic pistol with a 50 round clip, and he just tore bits out of everyone in the CQB, sio I do see where you are coming from, it just wouldn't be my choice

you dont nessaseraly(bad spelling to the max) have to upgrade a pistol! a fine tuning with the hop-up is all you need IMO!
i hit a player in the head with my bog standard 1911 from 20meters away. hit him with my 3rd shot. pistols should get more credit then they do, at least talked about, coz dam i love my pistols!
a extra few mags always help too!

I think I will just stick to my G36 for the mo, but I will keep your suggestion in mind when I win the lotto

Having a pistol as a back up is recommended for all roles, just in case soemthing happens to your primary. You could probably pick up a good pistol here on the adverts section for cheap enough
