I think it's only the "standard editions" tho? There'll be another release for the Extended editions on bluray.

Can't recommend a cheap source for the DVDs but I'd just say that there is so much stuff on the 12 discs that it's good value at almost any price.

Even Peter Jackson has warned fans about the blu ray release this month.
It does not have the extended editions, nor the extras of the extended sets.

There is talk of the extended versions plus the extras on them, plus new extras being released close to when the Hobbit comes out in a few years.

The ordinary extended editions are also meant to be released between the standard editions on blu ray and the final editions on blu ray.

So basically they are trying to get people to triple dip.

OP try golden discs, they have them in cork, i think it's 30 quid for the trilogy box set (extended editions) which really is tremendous value..

Sendit have it for €21 (probably even slightlycheaper if you buy it in sterling.)

It would help if the OP had actually specified how much they were willing to spend.

Erm, the least possible? Sorry, but surely that should be obvious.

Golden Discs are still around? Is that the one on Patrick Street that is roughly across from GQ?

For some reason I thought that GD were gone now. The three stores they had in Limerick all closed down.

OP, The extended trilogy is £16.85 on Amazon.co.uk at the moment.

Yes, well done. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll get back to you when I find someone selling it for €0.01

This is beyond ridiculous. If I came onto the tech forum and asked for a cheap pair of headphones, you would have a point in asking me for a price range. But you have no point whatsoever asking it here. One unique good, at the cheapest price available. If that is €20, so be it. Maybe €18 or €16, who knows?

    You seem very confused.

23.49 euro on Play, (free delivery)

You're on here looking for "cheap" product. What the hell does that mean? How far does this thread have to continue until you are satistifed? You're the one no point whatsoever.

Yes, the cheapest possible. In a free market, firms are allowed to set their own prices for goods. This means that shoppers can often benefit from taking the time to look around for the best offer.
    bonerm wrote: »

It means buying the above mentioned good at the cheapest price possible, given market conditions.

How long is a piece of string? For all I know, a poster could provide me with a link to a sale where I can pick up this product for €15, saving me €5 on the average web price that I have seen. This could happen tomorrow. Who knows?

Well I hope you find your DVD for €15. I'm sorry I even bothered offering you a suggestion at this point.

they;re gone from patrick's street, but are still in merchant's quay, wilton and mahon point. they're still terrible. all they seem to sell these days are cheap dvds and cheap dvd boxsets. like a slightly posher Director's Cut.

also OP, there's no need to get bitchy with people on here who tried to help you.

I'm astonished the thread took the turn it did, to be honest, but let's take a look at where it did before it probably gets closed:
It would help if the OP had actually specified how much they were willing to spend.

Not a helpful post, to which I replied:
Erm, the least possible? Sorry, but surely that should be obvious.

Which I think was a fair comment. I hadn't taken the claws out at this stage. Anyway, this was followed by:
Yes, well done. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll get back to you when I find someone selling it for €0.01 rolleyes.gif

Which is simply trying to get a rise out of me. As far as I am concerned, I had done nothing wrong at this stage and was warranted in fighting back.

I think without the use (and overuse) of smilies or exclamation marks, short sentences can be subjected to misconstrued tone.

As cheap as possible. It's obvious.
As cheap as possible. It's obvious!
As cheap as possible!! It's obvious :pac:

The same sentence but with different tones. I honestly think it was a non-snarky remark misconstrued as a snarky remark that was somewhat blown out of proportion.

I have a bunch of research to do for essays. Can someone find out about the role of the outcast in the victorian novel and post it here? THANKS GUYS.

I think it's up to the OP to do his own legwork and not get snotty when people start copping onto this.

That's a fair point, but during the exchange I outlined in post #20 I didn't use an explamation mark, or a smiley, or short sentences. My opening post was just intended to be humerous.
