Yes - Close to the Edge.
Best prog rock album ever made and excellent for long drives.
Their "Fragile" album is another masterpiece.

If you're not into Prog Rock, there's Orphans, Brawlers, Bawlers and Bastards by Tom Waits.

And if you like to go fast, get War Stories by UNKLE!

partial to a bit of Leftfield at high volume myself.......GnR's Appetite for Destruction is an adrenalin generator too......

Avoid all Westlife/x-factor etc...the temptation to drive through the central barrier to kill the pain may prove too much!!!!:D

Thin Lizzy for me - its perfect and rarely get in bad mood when frustrated by other drivers when listening to them.

Although some of the songs could make you put the boot down :D

AC/DC and Zeppelin are automatic choices for long distance nighttime driving.

If you're a fan, animals or darkside will make a quiet stretch of motorway pass very pleasantly indeed, but only if you're feeling alert, and brace yourself for the start of 'time'!
