Iphone - poor network coverage?

    Anyone else noticed how crap Iphone is is poor coverage areas?

    O2 network was never great at my house but if you hold a nokia, sony and iphone in your hand at same time - nokia and sony have a couple of bars but Iphone has nothing!

    Tried turning off 3G etc....

    same here iphone drops calls like no other phone i've ever owned thats of course if the intial call doesn't fail becuase there's no network

    Personally I hvaen't had any problems with coverage on my iPhone.

    Yep, i used to have that problem with Iphone and 02. I was thinking it was 02 but when they replaced my Iphone with Nokia all was good.

    The iPhone is known for having poor signal strength where a normal Nokia/Motorola/Siemens/etc will work fine. I've o2, and I used the 3gs for work, but I keep a backup Nokia 7110 in the car for the trouble spots where the iPhone drops calls, pop the sim into my Matrix phone (Which still looks uber cool to this day), and full strength on the phone no bothers.

    I am considering getting the iphone 3gs but the reviews below are putting me off. I thought I would take a look at your forum and it just confirms the reviews. There is word of a version 4 coming out but no dates as yet.
