    Hi all,

Need a new laptop & was thinking of this:

    http://www.aldi.ie/ie/html/offers/2827_12161.htm

Do you think it's any good? I will want to use it for browsing (need to be able to open multiple tabs without it freezing or slowing down), emails, storage of music & photos, excel, word. Bought a Compaq presario v5000 2006 and just after Christmas the internal wireless card went but now the screen has gone too. Internal of computer (bar wireless card) is working fine , just can't see what's on the screen.

Which brings me to my next question! Is it possible to somehow retrieve emails from Outlook express and Microsoft Outlook from the old laptop and transfer them to the new one?

    Thanks in advance,

    Gar.

If its a netbook your looking for that is decent value. But is it a laptop you want? A 10" inch screen is tiny for any kind of prolonged usage.

+1. Times have changed and now you can sometimes find very cheap 12.1/13.3" subnotebooks doing the rounds. They're still dead light but are much easier to use - plus they usually have ultramobile Core2 CPUs and won't come apart at the seams the second you open multiple tabs :P
