large Water heater tank

    hello,

    I viewed an apartment, it is electrical heating, I notice the apartment equipted with a large water tank(more than 2 meters in height), I am wondering if this is good and does it consume a lot electricity??? thanks!

    any chance of a pic: u MAY, and I emphasize MAY, find that it is a combination or 2 piece tank with top part cold and bottom half hot.

    I presume it was fully insulated. did u see where the elec heating elements were?

    In terms of heating a 2m high tank it depends on the diameter, a high narrow tank is more efficient than a wide squat one as the hot water stratifies more easily

    more than likely its a 2 part tank 2 seperate tanks on top of each other one for cold water and one for hot water. and they look like one big tank because they are insulated as the one. generally the giveaway is it has loads of pipework in and out of it and only one immersion. generally a single tank of that size would have 2 immersions
