I'm hoping to do well in the junior cert practical and am wondering what songs I should learn, I'm not going to bother asking my music teacher, she's an idiot. Anyway I'm hoping to get 90%+ so what I've got is (This is all on guitar): The entertainer, Fur Elise, Heatbeats, Romance, Wake up, Arpeggios from hell, the solo from stairway and Dream On.

I know I only need four, which ones should I use? Should I learn something else, I'm pretty sure I'm capable of anything in time, I have over a year after all.

    Thank'ee. :D

I'm playing the piano and my piano teacher has helped me to choose four pieces with variety. I'm doing a classical piece, a show tune, music from a film and modern(ish) music. Showing the examiner that you can play in different styles will (apparantly :D) get you marks.

I'd say do The Entertainer, Heartbeats, Stairway to Heaven and then choose one other song that's either classical-ish or that you know really well and will save for the end to show off.

I'm saving my showtune for the end because I've known it since last year and if you leave with an impressive song that's the impression they'll remember.

    Hope I helped :pac:
