Well thanks yourself. That'll teach me for trying to help. You would have found wiki would detail all from mkI to VI with model years, engines etc & pics. You know better now it seems whie knowing nothing when asking the question.

    I'm confused :)

How did a simple question turn into some bad mojo from the OP?

In fairness replying and telling somebody to use google does *seem* snotty

Anyway issue is resolved now so lets leave it there

Nah, I think we should start over analysing it and start a fight :p

    Seriously though,
Does anyone think the mark 4 looks a little better then the mark 5?
Im not a fan of the mark 5 now I have to say. Its only the most recent one or maybe the one before that that I think is nice.

yeah i defiantly think the mk4 looks better then the mk5.
What color do you think looks best?

I didn't mean to come across a bit over the top but i just hate when people add stupid comments to forums. They could have just typed random letters into the forum. the first place i looked was google with no luck so instead of just going google it he could of put up a link if he wanted to be help full. ill have a search of Wiki.

I was wondering was there any way of telling with the engine number or log book rather then just comparing images to be honest but ill look into it

Are you implying you wont be able to see the car for a while and you wanna see if you can figure it out?

Too much for you now to actually look up wikipedia. You would rather I look it up for ya & give ya a nice link to it. Would you like me to come around to you and click on the link as well for you? FFS, it was hardly a stupid comment and surely better than just some random letters typed in.

I also think you should take a lesson in using google as if you type in mark iv golf pics or mark V golf pics, you will get 4 pics of each model as number 1 result in both cases.
