skyhd and OS Update hanging

    Got sky hd last april and did a system reset at 7.30pm tonight to clear the planner. Now 2 hours later I'm still on screen that tells me its doing an OS update and will be ready in 10 minutes. Whats gone wrong? It says not to turn off mains supply or satellite so I guess I better not.
    Anyone ever see this before and how to get around it. Is this normal?

    Plug it out and start again.

    Check the back up button hasn't gotten jammed in and is causing the box to go into software update mode when you power it back up again.
    I've seen this happen with std boxes.
