Discovery New Door Lock, Remote not working.

    Hey All,
    I fitted a new drivers side door lock mechanism to my 1999 Discovery today but the remote central locking now refuses to work. The key will lock the drivers door separately and the internal central locking switch will lock all the doors together but the fob will now do nothing, anyone have any suggestions as to what is wrong.
    :confused::confused::confused:

    Double check all your connections. I haven't got a RAVE CD for the Disco but I suspect the alarm sends a signal to the drivers door lock that triggers the others. Also locking the drivers door with the key should trigger the others.

    Does the fob flash any of the lights or set the alarm even if it doesn't lock the doors?

    Hey 101Sean, the drivers door does lock if you use the key in it but central locking doesn't work off it. The immobilizer does activate with the key fob but no central locking. I'll check the connections on Wednesday and let you know. Thanks for the help AGAIN!!!:confused:

    Just a thought, check all the fuses, they put one in nearly every circuit. The old lock could have blown one to protect the alarm.

    Glad to help fellow suffers!

    Turns out all the fuses are fine. I had to get a new battery for the disco anyway and everything worked fine after it was installed. Must have something to do with the old crappy battery.
    Thanks for the help.
