what time to get to airport?

    wonder if anyone can help me. flying with ryanair for the first time since they have introduced checkin online only. flight is at 8am from Dublin, what time should I aim to be at the airport for? I'm only taking carry on luggage so have nothing to drop off? are there likely to be queues?

    I'd say 6.45 would be plenty of time.

    At that time of the morning the airport can be quite busy so you'd be best to be there for about 6.30am and leave 90 minutes to get through security, just incase there's any hold ups, and to walk to the gate. Some of the gates Ryanair use can take at least 10 minutes to walk to, depending on your walking speed. Better safe than sorry.

    Depending on the day of the week, but that will be the busiest time of day and you could will be stuck getting through security for a loooong time for flights at that hour of the morning. Plan to get there early, and then get there a bit earlier than that, hope to get through security quickly and then chill out on the other side when it all goes quicker than expected.
