    Hope someone can help me

I am on job seekers Benefit and my stamps will be running out in two months time. I am going to apply for job seekers allowance. I realise it will be means tested. I live in my sisters house at the moment ang give her a small amount of money for rent ( I dont claim rent allowance). My question is will the dole inspector want financial details from my sister i.e. salary etc. in some way of accessing my means.

My second question is I'm applying for the back to work enterprise scheme for the self employed as I am starting a online business. I saying I have €25k in saving for the business. Will this affect the amount I get on my JSA eventhough it is needed to get the business up and running..

    Any advise is greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    Joe:)

Not sure whether to make an exception if money is for a business.

    Capital Weekly means assessed First €20,000 Nil Next €10,000 €1 per €1,000 Next €10,000 €2 per €1,000 Balance (€40,000 +) €4 per €1,000

It depends on what age you are, if your aged 23 or over they will not ask you for details of your sisters salary etc but if your under 23 your sisters earnings will be taken into account.

A sister's income is never assessed against someone as means, regardless of age.
Parental income is assessable as means if you are living at home and under the age of 25.
