Broken Bushings & Extreme Tyre Wear

    Lads Some advice if possible,

I got my car serviced today, only for them to tell me both my front two tires on the inside were worn down to the thread. Now I am very good with my car( I only replaced all the tires last February, cause they were slightly worn at the time) naturally this was a shock to me when I saw both front tires. They said the reason this occured was both the front two bushings were snapped, and this is what is causing the crazy tire wear.

I found this strange , as I had in fact both bushings replaced last March(which kinda put them off, and were like um ya ... well they are gone again). I have only done maybe at most 4000 miles in the past year and I dont drive on bad roads. Can anyone explain to me how both of these are gone again in such a short time period, and also would this cause such tyre wear I guess I am skeptical of the lads who serviced it, I am getting a second opinion next week.

Am I being far too skeptical?

    Wha make of car?

Some cars / light commercials had a habit of eating tires when bushings became warn.

Citroen Berlingo was one of the culprits both front and rear.

I had a berlingo and had same problem, use to rotate tyres regularly just to get by, temporary measure. It is something that you will have to get done as it is an instant NCT failure.

Did you have the tracking and alignment checked after having the bushings replaced 4k miles ago?

Make sure if your getting it tracked that they dont just do the front wheels as the alignment from the back to the front could be causing the problem. Tyre stop do 4 wheel laser alignment it costs around €30.

Maybe they're different bushings that have gone this time?
