It would be handy to be able to quote posts from locked threads.

Not the feature you're looking for but if you copy and paste the username, post number and text content into the quote tags it will work.

A lot of hassle if you want to quote multiple posts.

We're pretty unlikely to add this feature. The point of locking threads is to prevent further replies so adding this wouldn't make a lot of sense IMHO.

Ah but not all threads are locked for that reason. Example being charter thread. Also some old threads are locked due to information being out of date, but some of it might still be relevant.

Indeed, but the majority are locked to prevent people replying and since we have no way of allowing quotes from one type of locked thread and not from another then we're going to leave it as-is.

If/when we add explicit functionality for charters and old threads we might revisit this.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
