anyone ever tried to change the rear shocks themselves wondering how you got on , there are loads of DIY videos on YOUTUBE on how to change the shocks
I have no problems with car service ie oil and filter , air, plugs etc but wanted to find out if changing the shocks would be difficult

Trying to save a few bob as not working at the moment and most garages cant keep a straight face when they are quoting for work at the moment , they know people are trying to hang onto to their cars as long as they can

Eah it would help if you told us what sort of car it is.

Do the rear shocks form part of a strut (with a coil spring around them) or are they separate??

If they are separate it should be fairly easy, for example on the E36/46 the hardest part of changing the rear shocks is getting the carpet out of the boot!

think they are separate , sound like a complete spa here i know but have never touched under the car , under the bonnet no problem
should be the same as standard starlet shocks
