Okay given the recent queries about Ballyboden and Leinster club fixtures and hurling helimets thinking it might be a good idea to set up a general notice board for people who may have questions rather than clogging up forum with threads that merit only two or three responses at best. Hope thats okay and maybe we can make it a stickie.

Not needed imo, the GAA board is hardly creaking under the weight of new threads, has enough stickies already and also the title is way too vague

Just thought it would be useful as a general noticeboard given the odd enquiries we get on here

A general thread about equiptment was tried out not so long ago. It did not work. This was for a variety of reasons, including

• People would start a new thread anyway
• The thread starter did not always get advice as it was easy to ignire the megathread
• There are not loads of these threads anyway, so the megathread/sticky was no really needed

Not just about equipment im talking about. If threads that require only one or two posts max would seem sensible to put it up on a general notice boards. Or maybe set up a sub forum for general enquiries in the gaa thread. Just pitching an ideal here and will leave it at that.
