itunes download problem

    I've downloaded itunes and after it was apparently downloaded sucessfully I got the following message "The itunes library.itl file is locked on a locked disk, or you do not have write permission fir this file" I have removed the program a few times and downloaded it again but the same thing appears, can anyone help?

    Where are you downloading it from itunes sometimes is bad files try filehippo you can get an older 1 there or the new one hope this helps also try use firefox to download it will store it in a download folder so u can run it from there!!!

    Have you had iTunes installed before or is this a new installation? Mac or Windows?

    The library file is a small file that keeps track of all the files in your iTunes library, if you're updating iTunes it must need to alter the old library file, which has become locked somehow. Find the old library file, right click it and click get info or properties and see what its permissions are.
