ASX1301 any good?

    Does basic needs include gaming or anything? If not its okay, but the X1301-L (lowest-spec version) has some more RAM and a bigger hard drive thrown in to compensate for a weak CPU. Good for very basic stuff, but given the hefty requirements of modern antivirus programs you should bear in mind I've seen the X1301-M down to €449 in PCWorld. Only the usual 3GB RAM (DDR3 now I believe :)) and 500GB HDD but its CPU has about half again as much power as the Littlewoods one. Might not be there anymore but might be worth the look.

    Thanks for the advice,picked up the one you suggested today for 450 euro with a pair of speakers thrown in as a discount.
