Sat Nav on UK imported Audi A6

I have recently imported an A6 Avant (2007) 2.0 TDi from the UK.
The built in sat nav unit uses a CD for mapping info.
The CD I have is a 2007 version of 'Digital road map of the United Kingdom, Ireland' and while this worked perfectly on the trip from London to Holyhead it's not so great in Ireland.

Does anybody have any experience of this system?
When entering a destination it can find Dublin and a handful of other towns beginning with 'D' but seems extremely limited.

For instance, when entering the Town it can find Clonsilla and Clonmel but not Clondalkin!

Is this a setup issue or could the system really be that bad for Ireland?

    Thanks

Mapping is probably just completely outdated on it.

Audi should be able to provide you with up to date mapping software.

Thanks for that, the maps are 2007 and are out of date now but Clondalkin has been around a long time before 2007:D

Wondering if there is a setup issue I need to look at, although can't find anything from playing with the system myself.....

Many, if not most, suburbs of Dublin don't work on Garmin Satnavs either. I assume this is because, despite the people who live there thinking there are, there are often no formal definitions of where most of these areas start and finish.

It's all a bit random though .. for your examples, on my Garmin Clonsilla isn't in there (well it is but it's in Co. Wexford!), but Clondalkin is. Tallaght, Finglas, Glasnevin and Clontarf (just picking a few places at random here) are nowhere to be found either.

So, finding addresses in the Greater Dublin area can be a bit of a nightmare, especially if you're not a local like me, to whom most of these places means nothing location-wise. Roll on postal codes is all i can say.
