samsung 40in tv fault help needed

    i have a faulty display on my samy 40 inch when i change picture view from normal or dynamic view to movie mode i get what can only be described as a psycadelic looking picture the video is all scrambled looking

    also tv display is very dark on and off intermittenty
    any help would be appreciated (i have also reset the tv and it made no difference)
