Following on from my post yesterday, I managed to get a few more pics. Not the best of pictures, but some of the ground birds are very shy. I've had to split this into two posts, as I can only upload 5 pics at a time.

I've just numbered the pics, as I don't know what they are, except I'm fairly sure the first one is a Gold Finch?

    Gold Finch?

    Unknown 03 - same bird as 02.

I'll upload the next 5 pics shortly.....

..... and thanks to anyone who can ID these for me. :)

    WoooHoooooooo!

Thanks for the info. - I really appreciate it.

How come the Chaffinchs - 02 & 07, are so different to 09?

The Siskin in 05 & 06 - is this a younster, as it's not as colourful as the others?

A Dunnock? Wouldn't have a clue what those are?

Again, thanks for the reply, at least now I know what to google for!

Just to expand a bit, unknown 2 and 3 are a female chaffinch, unknown 9 is the male. Lovely sharp pic of the Goldfinch.

Chaffinch #9 is the male, hence much more color. In a lot of bird species, the female is often much more drab / plain than the male.

    It's a Female Siskin.

Dunnocks are often called Hedge Sparrows (Although they are not a Sparrow at all).

    Fantastic everyone, really happy atm!
Strange how you can get so much peace and enjoyment from these little creatures, and all for the price of a few peanuts, or scraps of bread.

Excellent photos :) I also enjoy taking photos of the birds even though I'm not a good photogpraher and only have a cheap camera. I like the "activity" in these pics.

I am in Brian's category :) when it comes to photos.

Currently I am trying to find a good place for the feeders closer to the house to improve the quality of my pictures.
