Maybe i should ask, does anyone own one of these guns and would you recommend it?

Very little in terms of internals(blowback system excluded) to separate them,,,the Cyma has the longer barrel so would be more effective for outdoor/woodland but is still short enough to make it an effective CQB platform.

I think that the blow back feature on the JG AK is another part just waiting to break.

Not the worst noise in the world but,,,,,

Cyma have been cloning AK's for quite a while now,,,,most of their offerings are fairly descent.

As far as im aware Strikearms have/had that very very Cyma in stock.

Just realised the Cyma is 4.5kg, i already have a jg aug a3 and that gets a bit much a 4kg after a while. Im not the fittest person ever.

I'd just like to point out that this is never the case. Barrel length will never make that much of a difference unless it's too long and provided you have a good quality barrel (AFAIK, Cyma use some sort of tightbores in their AEGs, but I'm not certain). It's all due to the capacity of the barrel and it's relationship to the capacity of the cylinder and sometimes BB flight stability might deteriorate along the length of the barrel too. You shouldn't apply real-steel issues to Airsoft as they rarely behave the same way.

Just go with what's the most comfortable for you. The way I'd liken the AK-105 is to an M4, while an AKS-74U is like an MP5 or M4CQB. The AKS-74U is very comfortable as it's a sub-carbine so it's very pointable. In real-world stuff, the AKS-74U has been out of production since '89 and is being replaced by the AK-105.

You can get the steel variants of the CM040D from SEAirsoft, I believe. Cyma internals are rated very highly, too. And several members on my team have Cyma CM040s on the way to them at the minute. We'll let you know how we get on with them.

    EDIT:

I believe that that's the shipping weight. Check out this link as it puts the weight at 3.27kg:

Also, this is worth reading. It's the same design but with a longer barrel so you can expect to see the exact same stuff but with a different front end and inner barrel:
