Fuel Prices on the Rise Again

On the to work morning I noticed that garages have put up their prices again.

Its 1.15p for diesel on the Dublin Road Newry and 1.18c in Dundalk.

At a rate of .88c to the £ 1.15p would be the relevant of 1.30c.

    Its nearly getting on par.

But why with Crude prices reducing on the last couple of months from $ 85 a barrel to around $ 78 have we not seen some reduction.

Ok prices held still for a while there but coming into the Spring Summer time - fuel prices are still going up.

Travelling from Monaghan to Dublin to work every day is becoming a serious serious expense.

Now where did I put the vegatable oil :D;)

the price of a barrel of crude has very little to do with the price of petrol.

FX rates will play a bigger impact as most oil traded in USD and the USD EUR has moved quite a bit recently

Just checked this as well. Local TOP garage is gone up 3c for both petrol and diesel. Now 1.28 and 1.18 respectively. Time to shop around I think.
