Superman was the first huge superhero and the most iconic one. It made the most sense for him to be the first to celluloid.

Keep in mind that Batman was still recovering from the campness of the Adam West show, and took a while to find his feet again and the Marvel age was still relatively young. Plus flying was probably a lot easier be visualise than webslinging.

The Superman franchise kick-started it all in the comic book movie genre, just like it did on the printed page.

Spiderman first hit the screen in 1978, two TV movies spin offs that got a limited big screen run.

I think a serious attempt to make a proper spiderman movie in the 70's would have looked terrible & maybe it was decided to steer clear till special effects technology had become advanced enough to deal with the subject.
Look at how rough the flying sequences in the superman movies look.

The whole batman thing had burnt itself out a bit by the early 70's i'd say.

One thing good about the older movies and series was that they were suitable for kids. The newer ones, aren't. Yet the vast majority of the merchandising, games, toys are aimed at kids. Toys of movies kids can't watch. Makes no sense.

I accept theres the teen. adult comic market, and thats what the newer movies are pitched at. Buts its pain for kids. I think this conflict is reflected in some of the poorer superhero movies. They fall between both groups and suffer because of it.
