I'm off the phone after talking to a Samaritans' volunteer for the past 90 minutes or so. I need help; I need to talk to a counsellor of some sort. I'm in my mid-30s, single and on the medical card - i.e. I don't have much money - and I need to talk stuff out for the first time in my life or I'll explode. I want to avoid anti-depressants and just talk this through until I finally get some healing and can move on from my presently pretty futile and aimless existence.

    Thank you.

Counselling is available free of charge in the Mental Health Services and Psychology. Google your local HSE or ask your GP to refer you.
