Has the new episode of the Phoenix been withdrawn?

I strolled into my local newsagent this evening to pick up a copy of the Phoenix, always look forward to the seeing the great and the shítehawks brought down a peg or two. Newsagent says "This issue has been withdrawn". Is this so? Was there a reason (without speculating)?

an edition? you mean. I haven't heard anything. Can't remember an edition being withdrawn before.
I might occasionally glance at the Phoenix in a shop, but only very occasionally.
I find it quite reductive.:cool:

There was a brief bit in the Times on Friday about it being pulled.....mentioned that it had articles on the Brutons and Paddy Dunning in it, but didn't say if these were the cause of its difficulties. The editor "refused to be drawn" as to the reason apparently!
