Someone mentioned that there's a new men's magazine launching in Ireland soon - called Tenet. Could only find a Twitter page and a holding website. Does anyone know anything about them? Who's behind it etc?

I don't get the impression it's a 'print magazine' - could be online only

domain owned by a guy in North Dublin (reg in Nov 2009).

If twitter a/c is anything to go by.....

Hi, I'm John. First of all, long time (unregistered) lurker, first time poster. I'm sorry if this comes across as trying to promote my business - I'm really not, as there's nothing to promote yet. I just wanted to get the official word out and hopefully add to the discussion. If I'm violating the terms of use - I'm sorry - delete this post, I'll move on and I'll be more careful in future.

I'm the guy behind Tenet Magazine. Here are the facts as of today:

I do plan on launching, as soon as possible. I have a day job with a company I'd rather not name, as they've taken a considerable (and, IMHO wholly justified) beating on boards.ie for their shady business and employment practices. Please know that I will not be taking said practices with me. Anyway, as a result of the day job and being a relatively new parent, everything is taking longer than planned.

In a nutshell, Tenet will be a magazine for Irish men between 25 and 45. It will be something more than beer and boobs (although not totally lacking in either), and you won't be embarrassed to read it on a train or bus. That's all I can tell you, because that's all I'm sure of right now. The initial plan was for it to be a print magazine, but I'm not 100% sure if that's the best route. I have a prototype in PDF form on the same computer as I'm writing this, but believe me, you'd hate it. It's all over the place. The launch issue will be infinitely better.

Some content will be bought, but I will be hiring writers as well as salespeople as soon as I can raise enough money, but at the moment I'm doing everything myself. I don't want to ask people to do something on a vague promise of future payment. I will be doing things right, or not at all.

Hope that helps, and that I haven't ticked too many people off by posting.

One more thing - can I ask where you heard of Tenet? I haven't exactly been promoting it up to this.
