I paid about €200 in tax in 2009 due to the income levy. Am i eligible for rent relief if i fill out a form rent 1 and send it to the revenue?
I also paid a certain amount in bin charges. Can i claim a percentage of this back too?

    Thanks

There is no relationship to the amount of tax you paid and your eligibility to rent relief, if you are living in private rented accomodation you are eligible to appy for rent relief. As for Bin charges you can claim these using the form attached to leaflet IT 27 on revenue.ie

I think my tax credits are 0, due to me being under the threshold. Would this have a bearing on my eligibility?
