    Hi all.
I have been having a lot of pain in my back teeth since the weekend and i think i need to get to a dentist fast, but as i am on min wage i can not afford (like everyone) to go to any dentist. I had fillings done when i was 23 skerries and they were redone last year in rush because the dentist there said 'they were done wrong' and now they are hurting and bleeding again, she gave me a mouth wash called kin to use for one month and they stopped bleeding but now the pain and bleeding is back and i dont want to go to that lady in rush.

So can anyone tell me a good dentist in dublin city centre who can help me and not scam me out of gettin filling AGAIN! I'm based in Phibsboro.

ps i floss and brush everyday and i only use that kin mouth wash when i think i need it as i have heard mouth washes are a waste of money from a dental nurse i live with(wouldnt go to her place they charge way way too much)

    Thanks guys!!!

    Hi there

sorry to hear of your tooth troubles. Bleeding gums are usually not caused by defective fillings although they can contribute to the problem. Bleeding is usually the result of poor brushing and cleaning, gum infections or gum disease.

If as you say you do keep your teeth clean then you may have gum disease and this needs to be checked out. Unfortunately there is no-one I can recommend to you as you apy for what you get. It is unlikely that you would need all fillings replaced again so soon. Good dentistry is never cheap and with the cutbacks in PRSI the government has made it more expensive

Thanks for the reply and you are right, went back to my dentist in rush to get a re-checkup and i have pretty bad gum disease, nothing to do with my fillings thank god, so got my mouthwash and interdental brushes again and a new soft toothbrush.

Still cost a lot and broke for the next month lol but i guess at the end of the day your teeth are with you for life if your lucky :D

    Thanks!!!!
